If you haven't guessed who THIS new person is...there is no hope for you.

If you guessed correctly way back when that the pregnant lady was Souten, the younger sister of the Thunder Brothers Hiten and Manten, you were RIGHT! Her last name, "Shunrai" means "Spring Thunder". Souten showed up in ONE single episode of the Anime series only. I thought she was such a great character. So different than the usual village girls that Shippo liked.

And the Ginger cookies clue... well. Their shop name also tips you off. Genkuro is the name of a famous Fox Demon of Myth. "Kit" refers to a baby fox. It can also be short for "Kitsune"

I always thought it would be a cute idea for these two to be together. Especially when Souten's Thunder Clan wiped out Shippo's family, and He and his friends in turn wiped out Souten's family. In the end, she ended up getting a crush on him <3. I loved the idea that together, they could rebuild a new family out of the one they both lost.

Shippo looks so boyish here. lol. But I could never honestly picture him in a suit. I figured he'd be more of a laidback adult who preferred to be cool and young.





For those of you who are still confused, I am reposting this note:

This chapter takes place immediately after Chapter 04: Monsters, after which Sesshomaru scratches Kagome.

This is the equivalent of Chapter 05, Except now we get to know what Kagome was up to this entire time.
