I really mean it, you guys... I'm always impressed with how much support my fancomic gets. I still get tons of feedback from it all the time, and daily notes asking for its' update. Sometimes, I get notes from fans who are overly passionate, or maybe not so polite. Sometimes they are just awkward, albeit very charming...

But you guys...

You guys, THIS ONE.

This. TAKES. THE. CAKE. I don't even...

It was so unbelievable, I have to tell you.

So a couple of days ago I checked my DA Notes and there was a pile of messages waiting for me. I haven't been able to check DA often as of late due to work and the fact that my Computer has been dying and I've been trying to avoid using it as much as possible until my new Computer arrives. ANYWAY, I was surprised to find a note from my friend, masa-kocha. I opened it, and this is what it said:

She also happened to be my coworker, and sat like... right across from me. Curiouser and curiouser why she would note me instead of just asking me directly. So when I asked her about it she looked confused.

"I didn't send you a note on Deviantart!"

"What? But this is you, right?"

I pointed bemusedly to the screen. She looked horrified. It couldn't be...

A FAKE! AN IMPOSTER!!!

maza-kocha was going around impersonating masa-kocha

Go! Go look for yourself!!! *rolls around*

We clicked on their DA page, and even their DA page was almost an exact replica of my friend's DA. Her deviations, all of her details, even her own photo was there. The only thing was that their name was off by one-letter-- a Z instead of an S in Masa-Kocha.

We wondered if this person was possibly an art thief. But my friend is primarily a photographer and told me that people usually didn't try to pretend to be the cosplay photographer. They usually want to claim that they are the cosplayer in the photos. So why take her identity? Upon closer inspection we also realized that the imposter only uploaded enough onto their gallery so that it their main page would fill up and look like it was authentic (even their deviations copied and pasta'd the original description). There was no other activity other than the one note that they sent me apparently, and no other uploads or comments.

Which leads me to one...bizarre conclusion.

This fan, wanted me to update "Raindrops" so badly, that they went through the trouble of pretending to be my friend (whom I had mentioned in the past was a co-worker) and set up a FAKE page (with quite a bit of effort) all just to do one thing: Send me a Note to tell me to update.

Guys.

Guys.

You guys are NUTS. Everyone on the art team was thoroughly impressed with the lengths my fans will go through. Surely you must realize I talk to my friend on daily basis since we work together, right? It was embarrassing, it was terrifying and unbelievable...

It was.

Really quite hilarious.

Whoever did this... You have some balls. I am THOROUGHLY impressed by your dedication, your devotion, your ZEAL for my fancomic. I APPLAUD you, crazy, CREEPY fan. Those who have doubted my stories about overzealous fans have turned into believers. This is a quite the tale I can tell around the watercooler...for YEARS to come. In some strange way, it's flattering to know how much my work is supported.

Just for you, I'll work on my Raindrops a little bit faster. FYI though, this doesn't change the fact that I'll still update when I want and when I have the time, so please don't go stealing my friend's identities anymore.

But really, please take everything down and deactivate the fake account or something or we'll have to report you...because it really freaks my friend out. lol.
