Random quick impulsive fanart. Which means I was too lazy for a bg. Oh well.

Balsa and Prince Chagum from "Serei no Moribito" (Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit). This series needs more love. Absolutely gorgeous anime/book series.

I love their Mother/Child relationship.

*spoiler*

I cried when she returned to him to his actual Mother, he ran to Balsa and told her he never wanted to be separated from her, begging that they run away together.

I watched this series, and I enjoyed it fully. It did well, as it did fall into the trap that many fantasy stories did. It didn't play like a fantasy concept, it played like a historical one. And the focus of the series was where it should be, between Balsa and Chagum. The two of them were always great to watch, and I have expected Chagum to start referring to Balsa as his mother.

I had a hard time watching the entire last episode of Moribito for the same reason. I wish Chagum had really run away with Balsa, but the fact that he didn't showed just how much he matured while in her care.

This series NEEDS to be more popular--it's a gem!

I actually have the uncorrected proof for the English translation for Moribito! I've read it so many times, but I have kept it in pretty much perfect condition. sooooooooooo goooooooood~!

When Balsa returned chagum was this in the book or was there another episode??? Thought there was only 25???? Pwease answer I want to see this part!!!! :'(

After they save Chagum and send the water spirit egg on its way they are escorted back to the palace where Chagum is returned to his parents and becomes the heir. I think it is the last episode. It is also in the book series. I wish they would publish more of the books in english. Chagum returns in later books.
